Q. Talk me throughout round today.
BROOKE MATTHEWS: Yeah, started on 10. Got off to a little bit of a hot start. Made birdie, bogey on 11, and then pretty steady throughout the back nine, which was my front nine.
Then I just kind of got kind of hot coming into the front and made three birdies in a row on 2, 3, 4, and just steady, fairways and greens.
Q. What was working well for your game today?
BROOKE MATTHEWS: I was driving it well, a lot better than I was yesterday, and so if you get in the fairways out here you're going to have a lot better chances.
Then I was hitting my irons in, I was wedging it well, so when I had a wedge in my hand I knew I was going to have a good opportunity.
Q. What's it been like having Alvaro here on the bag?
BROOKE MATTHEWS: It was good. We fought it through together yesterday and then we had a little bit better tomorrow today. Obviously when you play well it makes things easier. Yeah, happy to have him here. He helps me a lot.
Q. How did the course or what was the course conditions today compared to yesterday?
BROOKE MATTHEWS: It was a lot easier, in my opinion. Obviously playing in the morning everything is going to be a little softer. I thought yesterday the wind was pretty brutal honestly, especially out here when hitting in the rough is so penalizing with the tee shots.
I think you'll see lower scores today just because few of the pins were a little more accessible, but really the wind is the game changer out here.
