Quick Quotes

Q. I'm here with Rachel; so how are you feeling about your game heading into this week?

RACHEL KUEHN: Yeah, I think golf is full of ups and downs. I haven't had the best summer leading up to this, but felt like my game was in pretty good shape. Sometimes it's like that. You can play well and not score well.

Yeah, been hitting it well to start the week. Put two good rounds together for stroke play to qualify for match play and played nicely again today.

So, yeah, can't complain.

Q. Good. Can walk us through your round today?

RACHEL KUEHN: Yeah, we had a dogfight out there. Kaleiya, she eagled the first so I didn't get a chance to putt my birdies putt. Kind of ebbed and flowed. I won a couple holes after that then she made some birdies.

I was 1-down at the turn but I didn't feel like I was playing that bad. I was hitting a lot of greens and making a lot of pars, but kind of on the back I just stuck to my game plan. I hit a lot of greens and gave myself as many looks at birdie as I could.

You know, the flags were a little more tucked today so there was a lot of 45-footers lagged up to two feet. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do, and I was lucky to finally see one drop on 16.

Yeah, glad to get the match done.

Q. And then what's your mindset going into tomorrow?

RACHEL KUEHN: I think tomorrow I'm going to do the same thing. Hopefully there might be a couple more accessible pins so I'll be able to fire at them.

Hopefully. You never know with the USGA sometimes. Yeah, definitely just going to try to keep hitting a lot of fairways, greens and give myself a lot of looks and hopefully couple more go in.
