Q. First off, first time in the quarterfinals.
THIANNA HUYNH: Yeah.
Q. What does it mean to make it to this stage?
THIANNA HUYNH: I mean, it feels good that I don't have to qualify for next year, right? Is that is what it is?
Q. I think that's right. That sounds about right. I think you're right.
THIANNA HUYNH: Because usually qualifying is where the grind really starts I feel like to get here, and then like once I'm here I'm able to enjoy the course and enjoy like being here a lot more.
So, I mean, feels nice.
Q. Absolutely. Obviously after stroke play you weren't one of the top seeds, but you didn't have to be involved in that playoff anyway.
THIANNA HUYNH: Yeah.
Q. Where did you feel your game was coming into match play? Did you feel as confident that you would be able to make it to this stage?
THIANNA HUYNH: I would definitely say my game changes a lot when I go into match play because I'm the kind of person that doesn't like to worry about scores. I kind of like to go hole by hole, shot by shot.
So, you know, like I'm pretty good about dismissing bad shots and like even after a good shot I can keep going and keep the momentum going.
So, I mean, I don't really have any expectation like when I play, so I don't think -- I mean, it's cool getting this far, but there is a lot more golf left, too.
Q. So since you say you don't care about a score as much, do you like to play more aggressive maybe?
THIANNA HUYNH: I don't think it's more like aggressive or conservative. When it comes to shots, I just think my mentality is a lot more -- I guess I am a lot more relaxed. Like it's not technical with my swing or anything or like trying to get -- like fight for birdies to make up for a bogey.
It's just kind of like in the moment.
Q. Is it more relaxing that you don't have to beat the whole field as opposed to you're just playing against one person in match play?
THIANNA HUYNH: Yeah, it's one person at a time, one match at a time.
