Quick Quotes

Q. It was a really close match. Just talk us through it a little bit.

MEGAN SCHOFILL: A lot of great golf between the two of us. I mean, I bogeyed the 15th hole and she bogeyed the 16th and that was it.

I think we both -- I missed a green and she missed a green, so just a lot of great golf. Really tough match when you're playing against anyone left in the field right now, but Anna Davis, Top 5 player in WAGR, phenomenal golfer.

Feels great to be able to see the hard work and play a really great round of golf and be able to get the job done. Obviously work is still not over yet. Just one shot at a time and see how it goes the rest of the week.

Q. Fifth Women's Am, I believe.

MEGAN SCHOFILL: I think it's my sixth.

Q. Okay. Maybe sixth. Latanna told us it's her seventh and it's her sixth, so we'll go back and check.

MEGAN SCHOFILL: Yeah.

Q. How does experience play into that?

MEGAN SCHOFILL: I missed the cut at the last two Women's Ams. So played some match play in this event, but, I mean, it's been great having my boyfriend caddie for me this week. It's nice because he gives me a lot of great information but also fun to be able to talk to someone other than about golf.

But, no, I think having experience playing this tournament and playing a USGA setup golf course helps a ton. I mean, everyone always says that USGA style golf courses are really tough, and it's ball-strikers' test.

I feel like I hit the ball pretty well this week and it's paid off so far.
