Q. This is honestly a grueling day. I know you've been to the semifinals, right?
MEGHA GANNE: Uh-huh.
Q. So what's it been like? I know that's been a while since you've been to this point. How nice does it feel to be a quarterfinalist?
MEGHA GANNE: Yeah, it feels really good. I think one thing I remember from being in the semifinals is like as soon as you knock down this first round of 64, feels like I can just do that again and again and again. That's a feeling that I had when I was on a run there, I was so trying to recreate that and remember that feeling I had.
Yeah, today was really (Wind interference) mind wavering after like 25, 26 holes there. So, yeah, (Wind interference) on the bag and he kept me in it.
Q. Is there any more enjoyment? (Wind interference.)...defeating the types of opponents you did today to get to this point?
MEGHA GANNE: Yeah, I can't say I really enjoyed my match against Anna. That was like kind of miserable. They're both really good players. I totally agree Kary, she's really underrated. I don't think I have heard that much of her. I've seen her name around, but she's an incredible ball-striker; her putting is like spectacular. Just no holes in the game really, so I was really, really impressed.
Yeah, I think having good opponents early is good.
Q. How much momentum did that birdie putt on 13 in the second match give you? (Wind interference.)
MEGHA GANNE: Yeah.
Q. (Wind) 2-down.
MEGHA GANNE: Yeah, she was six, seven feet, and for her that was just automatic today. I figured it was a must-make. A lot of these putts I had to read a lot of wind too, so felt kind of up to fate when you're combining the wind, the slope, the speed. So, yeah, I had a little bit of luck on my side.
Q. This is the wind that Bandon is known for, but we haven't had it yet. How did that impact your game today?
MEGHA GANNE: I was hoping for it to come. I really like hitting the ball low. I think I thrive a little bit more in those conditions compared to normal conditions.
So hopefully keeps up for me.
