Q. That was a hell of a win. Was that one of the biggest wins you've ever had in your career?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yeah, that was definitely the biggest comeback. I haven't had the best track record with coming from behind, but I knew -- my caddie just told me when I got 3-down that if I got back to all square that I was probably going to win this thing.
I did that, and then, you know, Tyler played good golf but I just...
Q. I think you were 4-under today.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Somewhere around there. I wasn't really keeping track.
Q. How good of a round is this in your career?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Considering the circumstances, definitely one of the most memorable rounds.
You know, I had that -- my first match was 25 holes.
Q. Yeah.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: And I had this one. So my first match I pulled through when I was tired and didn't know if I could do it. Second match, had a pretty commanding win, and now third match come from behind.
Q. You beat a kid who was a finalist last year and has had a summer -- I mean, he's already won an Open Amateur, runner-up in the North & South.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yes.
Q. Top 6 at the Northeast. Kid has been on a heater and you slowed him down.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yeah, I mean, I've known Tyler since we were about ten years old and he's a great friend and he's been playing great golf. I happened to beat him today, but that doesn't take away from how great of a player he is.
Q. Birdied I believe 14, 15, 16, correct?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Correct.
Q. What were your shots in there and putts?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: 14, let me think. So I'd just come off -- I missed about a four-footer for birdie on 13 to get it back to 1-down, and then I hit a really good tee shot just short of the green. Hit probably a putt to about four feet short from the front edge; then made that one.
He had a pretty nasty look out there.
And then 15 hit a great drive; had about 120; hit a gap wedge to about ten feet; made that one.
And then 16 --
Q. On in two?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: I was actually over in two.
Q. Okay.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: I had a pretty tough chip. Hit a good shot to about five, six feet. Then I really thought I missed it.
It came off the putter face dead right but just kind of curled in. That got me back to 1-up and 17 was just easy two-putt.
Q. Two-putt from how far?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Probably about 20, 25 feet short. But that pin was really tough so I had to putt upslope.
Q. What were your emotions like? You got off the green on 17 and you're into the quarterfinals.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: I don't even know. It's just, you know, on hole 12 I was thinking about, you know, what if I have to go home today. Now I get one more shot at it.
Q. Also exempt for next year.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Awesome.
Q. Quarterfinals gets you exempt for next year.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: I didn't know that.
