Q. What a week this has been.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yes, sir.
Q. I mean, knock off first of all three straight lefties.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yes, sir.
Q. Now two of the highest ranked players in this field. Give me your thoughts about what you accomplished now through five matches.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yeah, honestly, I have not had the best summer coming into this, but I started to hit it better and then the putter is finally starting to warm up.
So I knew I had a good chance coming in, and now to see it coming to fruition is pretty cool.
Q. You're ranked 600, I know, probably because you haven't played a lot of WAGR events.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Right.
Q. Is it easier in your position to do what you've done when you're not expected and you're going up against guys that are expected to get to the finals and do well in this championship?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yeah, that partially and also I know that my ranking doesn't really show how good I am and I know I can compete with anybody out here.
So I have just as good of a shot as anybody. Just trying to prove that.
Q. Is that a little easier though to go in as maybe a little bit of an underdog quote-unquote, to play a little more freely?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: It definitely is, yeah. You know, I could just kind of let it fly tomorrow and whatever happens, happens.
Yeah, I mean, this is a God-given gift and I'm trying to use it.
Q. You jumped on Luke early. I know he hurt his wrist a little bit, but your putting seemed to be just really on plane, especially in the afternoon match today. Have you gotten just comfortable on these fast greens?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: They're very similar to what my home course is. Same bermuda and similar speed.
So, you know, the main thing is just getting my speed right and then taking advantage of those putts that are inside 15, 20 feet.
Yeah, I got a feel that I have working right now.
Q. Uh-huh.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Just looking to continue it tomorrow.
Q. The name of your home club is?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Westlake Country Club.
Q. One word?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yes.
Q. Obviously you know what comes with getting to the finals. Now into the U.S. Amateur.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Right.
Q. Weren't in it before today.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yes, sir.
Q. You got a chance to do something if you win tomorrow. Does that creep into your mind about maybe playing a U.S. Open?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: It definitely does. I'm trying not to think about it too much. That's not what I'm playing it for. It is a nice bonus but I'm just here to play for the love of the game. Show my gifts.
Q. You got another 36 holes. You grinded out two straight days of 36 holes and 25-holer on Wednesday.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yes, sir.
Q. Where is your stamina right now? Extra juice for the final?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yeah, I made up the seven extra holes from the first match, but obviously I'm tired but everybody is. Everybody has to deal with it.
Q. First future Bulldog to make the final since the Brian Harman.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Really? I didn't know that.
Q. Yeah. Obviously you know what Brian did in 2003.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yes.
Q. Do you know him at all?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: No, I don't, but I obviously know him pretty well through all the stuff that he's done.
Q. And your biggest win to date was the Junior Players last year?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: Yes.
Q. What did you win that by?
HAMILTON COLEMAN: I was in a playoff with Blades Brown, so...
Q. So you're accustomed to knocking off some pretty big names.
HAMILTON COLEMAN: I made par on the 18th at Sawgrass to win, so, yeah, definitely leaning on that experience a little bit.
