Q. How are you feeling?
DAWN WOODARD: Sort of like someone needs to pinch me. It's pretty special.
Q. What are you most proud of this week? It was a grind. You went into two playoff holes.
DAWN WOODARD: Just the grind, the grit. A lot of times knowing -- not getting frustrated. It was a hard golf course, and a bad shot at the wrong time -- really just knowing if I keep giving myself opportunities, I still have a chance. More than anything, I think it's just the never giving up this week.
Q. You get into two U.S. Senior Women's Opens; how does that make you feel?
DAWN WOODARD: Much better. I just played in one a couple weeks ago but I had to qualify for that one and I was first alternate and I waited around until the Friday before to get in. That'll be nice next year to know that I'm in the next couple.
Q. How did you rest? How did you get sleep knowing you had such a big day ahead of you?
DAWN WOODARD: Because my roommate goes to bed at 8:30 over here.
Last night was a little tougher for sure. But you're also just -- it's such a grind that you're literally physically just tired. I did wake up and your thoughts are racing a little bit here and there, but it's also good, you get a chance to get some of those thoughts out before you even get here this morning.
Q. What can you tell me about this venue?
DAWN WOODARD: It's pretty special. I said when I got here and played the first practice round, I love the golf course. From the time we were married, we've got great friends up in Highlands, North Carolina, so we've gone up there every summer. We play some mountain golf. I got here and I kind of felt like, this feels a little bit like Highlands. It's mountain golf. You're putting downhill but up the mountain or down the mountain but uphill. A lot of times it's breaking a way that it doesn't look. I felt like it was a little easier for me to trust some of that. I just was very comfortable all week.
