Q. Back in the final again; how does that --
EVAN BECK: Back at it, yeah. It's nice to have another shot. I started playing really nice last eight, ten holes, like I found something, and hopefully will carry that on to tomorrow.
Q. Before today's semifinals, you've had three nail-biters. That 18th hole may hold something for you out there.
EVAN BECK: Yeah, I don't know, I've gotten really lucky, and I feel like you need that in match play to an extent. Very fortunate to come out on the right side of it the last couple times.
Q. What did you find in the last eight to ten holes? Was it something physical or something in your swing, putting?
EVAN BECK: Yeah, something with my swing. We'll try to implement it tomorrow and see if it works, but you never know. Another day.
Q. Looked like the putter got going around 7, 8 there, really kind of gave you a charge.
EVAN BECK: Yeah, feel like I've been putting good. Speed has been good. Had a couple go in on the front side, which is always a good thing. But felt like I've been putting well all week, and yeah, excited for tomorrow.
Q. How far were your birdie putts on those holes?
EVAN BECK: 7, I made probably a 15-footer, 8 I made like a 20-footer. I think I made another one somewhere. Nothing super close.
Q. I heard eight feet on the last hole?
EVAN BECK: Last hole was about eight feet, yeah.
Q. You're facing Bobby Massa tomorrow; the guy has Tour-quality distance. I don't know if you've heard about him before?
EVAN BECK: Yeah, definitely heard about him, saw him on TV at the U.S. Amateur. Very impressive. I'll see that up close tomorrow.
Q. Did you pick Jordan's brain about him at all?
EVAN BECK: No, I haven't. I haven't talked to him about it.
Q. A lot of these people out here following you around. What's that been like?
EVAN BECK: It's been great. It's nice to be sort of a local guy, and I have a lot of friends and family come out. Both my parents are from Richmond, so my mom's sister is here hanging out. It's been really, really nice.
Q. Whether you go back to 16, 17, 18 in the first match, 16 you get it back there, that really hard back hole location, the par-3, you tied the match and got a chance to take the lead back there. Talk about that birdie putt.
EVAN BECK: Yeah, that was huge. Had probably 15 feet up the hole, breaking like two feet right to left and made it right in the middle. Unbelievable two-putts on the last -- 17 and 18. Two-putted from like 100 feet on 17 and then made -- two-putted from about 30 feet, but it probably broke 12 feet. Almost had to putt it sideways and then had to come back down.
Q. The shot out of the gunk there, I heard you actually grunt on that one.
EVAN BECK: Yeah, after the whole week, it's really thick and wet and was raining pretty much all day. I was swinging at it as hard as I can to get it out of that stuff.
Q. What did you learn from last year's 36-hole final that you can apply to tomorrow?
EVAN BECK: You've got to come out pretty hot, to be honest. It's good to get off to a good start. Stewart did that last year, and I'll try to do that tomorrow.
