Q. First things first, I believe this is your second Mid-Am?
CHRISTIAN CAVALIERE: Third.
Q. How did you enjoy this experience overall and what's your takeaway from the week?
CHRISTIAN CAVALIERE: Yeah, USGA events are always special, so it's great to be here. Takeaway from the week is desert golf is very hard and stressful. But Troon was awesome, place was really pure, had a lot of fun. All positives.
Q. In this match in particular, you made it pretty exciting there at the end but it's kind of hard when the other guy makes four birdies, rattles them right off at the start there. Tell me a little bit about the round.
CHRISTIAN CAVALIERE: Yeah, it was definitely not an ideal start. I had been playing the front nine really well, and this is probably the worst I've played the front nine all week, and combined with him shooting 5-, 6-under, whatever he did, it just was not a good matchup, so I was in a pretty big hole. Tried not to lose any confidence or any hope and tried to grind it out and put some pressure on him, but there just weren't enough holes left.
Q. I know the competition season is coming to a close, but do you have any big events coming up after this?
CHRISTIAN CAVALIERE: Almost done here. I think I have one or two back in New York and then I'm playing the Carey Cup which is like the MGA against Ireland, so we'll play that over in Portmarnock in Ireland. I think that's it. It's been a long season. I need to go hibernate for the winter and take a break.
