Quick Quotes

Q. I think you guys were 2-down at one point, weren't you? Limb limb yeah, from the first two holes?

Q. What changed?

ASTERISK TALLEY: It was just a rough round overall for like everyone. It was super hot.

SARAH LIM: Everyone out here is going to struggle today because it's hot --

Q. It wasn't that humid but it was still hot.

SARAH LIM: It was definitely hotter than the first round, or it felt like that because we were tired.

ASTERISK TALLEY: But I think it was just a matter of endurance and keeping each other motivated.

Q. You guys made some birdies coming down the stretch. Who made the putts and what holes?

ASTERISK TALLEY: Sarah. I made a putt on 16 and 17.

Q. How long were the putts on 16 and 17?

ASTERISK TALLEY: 16 I had like a 33-footer or something like that and then 17 was a six-footer.

Q. That put you 3-up. There was another birdie in there earlier.

SARAH LIM: We had a birdie on the par-5, but we were both really close. But asterisk made the putt.

Q. You guys are in the semifinals, first time. What are your thoughts and how do you think you'll handle tomorrow? Obviously two matches like today.

ASTERISK TALLEY: I literally told Sarah on the 17th hole, I didn't think we would make it this far. That gave her a lot of confidence.

SARAH LIM: She said she didn't think we were going to make it this far.

ASTERISK TALLEY: But we pulled it through.

SARAH LIM: I'm excited for tomorrow.

ASTERISK TALLEY: Even though it was tough today, knowing we got through two matches was a good confidence booster for tomorrow.

Q. How could you say that with the kind of golf she's been playing the last two months?

SARAH LIM: Yeah, not going to lie, our week hasn't been that good. Other than the 9-under, that was crazy, but the rest of the rounds haven't been our best. But I feel like it's a confidence boost not playing our best and still --

ASTERISK TALLEY: Yeah.

Q. You're supposed to play in New Jersey on Thursday. How is that going to work out?

ASTERISK TALLEY: I have to take a red-eye.

Q. There's like a mandatory meeting is what I read?

ASTERISK TALLEY: We'll see how that goes. I'm going to call my dad tonight.

Q. You'll try to get out here late tomorrow night. Do you know your tee time for Thursday?

ASTERISK TALLEY: No, I don't know anything. My dad was just like, I think you can make it.

Q. When you've got a tournament like that coming up and you've got this, how do you stay focused?

ASTERISK TALLEY: I just try and stay in the now, one hole at a time. When you're really in the game, you don't really think of anything else outside of golf. I feel like even anything outside of golf, not even other tournaments, if something is distracting you and you're really in the game, it doesn't really mess with you.
