Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Ryanne Jackson, 3-over 75 today. Can you talk us through your round out there.

RYANNE JACKSON: Yeah, I was 1-over through 17 hole and unfortunately double bogeyed the last hole. For the most part of the day my driving of the ball was very consistent. Hit a lot of greens, made a lot of two-putts.

Q. You are sitting atop the leaderboard right now. What would it mean to win a USGA championship if you're able to pull it off?

RYANNE JACKSON: It would mean a lot to win it. Coming from college golf, I haven't had many opportunities to be at the top of the leaderboard, so it's a different experience.

But it's kind of a nice one.

Q. You did say you had a double bogey today and a bogey yesterday. How are you going to have to finish a little bit better tomorrow in order to take home the title?

RYANNE JACKSON: Yeah, as we saw today, Kim Moore had a really solid round, so we know she's capable of it, so I'll have to go out and put up another really strong round to be able to win.

Q. Last year Kim was in the lead going in. Now you're in the lead. What have you learned from last year that can help you out in this final round?

RYANNE JACKSON: Well, I think one big difference between last year and this year is my putting has been a lot more consistent. I finished day one last year with 40 putts, and that number did not get much smaller as the rounds went on. So I've been a lot more consistent around the greens.

Q. What have you worked on in your game the last 12 months to get yourself better, in a better position maybe this time around?

RYANNE JACKSON: Well, if I'm being honest, I really started practicing for this tournament about 10 days ago. Hit a lot of range balls, played one round of 18 holes since August. But it hasn't hurt me, I guess.

Q. It seems to be working right now.

RYANNE JACKSON: I don't know. No expectations going into it, I would say.

Q. Was there expectations last year?

RYANNE JACKSON: I mean, I told myself going into this last year that I wanted to finish top 10, and so after the first day, I would say I knew that that was a good possibility.

This year I knew I had a chance to win, but I wasn't going into it with like oh, I'm going to be disappointed if I don't finish this way.

Q. What are your plans for tonight?

RYANNE JACKSON: Dinner, a shower, nap.
