Megan Khang

Quick Quotes

Q. All right here with the queen of sarcasm, Megan Khang. It was good round, Megan. I know you're frustrated by a few putts, but overall it was a pretty good round, you got to think.

MEGAN KHANG: No, it was definitely a great round. As golfer everyone knows you can have a flawless round golf and you're still thinking there is one or two you left out there. Every golfer seems to be never pleased, never satisfied, which definitely drives us to keep going.

But, no, overall great round. Just really trying to stay in the moment out here, and like we're hitting good shots, making good strokes, and just trying to capitalize when we can.

Q. You had six birdies on the day, so, so close on some more you said. But tell us about the birdies. I saw you had two in a row a couple times. Any of those particularly good for you?

MEGAN KHANG: I mean, when you have birdies in a row it's always a great thing. It was pretty cool. All three girls in the group birdied the same holes three times today, so it's pretty impressive. You never want to be left out so it's funny how that works.

But, I mean, there is really -- other than like I guess the three holes we all birdied together, none substantially stick out. Again, it's really cool that we did that.

Q. Absolutely. It was cool that you did it, I'm sure, in front of fans. We always have a lot of fans here. And you played with Stacy. She always gets a lot here for obvious reasons. Got to feel good a year after we were here under such weird circumstances to be kind of back to normal.

MEGAN KHANG: It's definitely great to have the fans back out there. It's nice to hear the claps when I hit the good shots. I mean, vice versa you hear the Oooo's, but hopefully we don't hear many of those this week for everyone.

It's nice to see people, hear the claps, hear the roars. Hit a close shot maybe on a par-3 and it goes almost in and you hear them scream. It's awesome. I love the vibe and feel of having the fans out here.

I just hope we keep growing.

Q. Speaking of vibe and feel, I know you were over at Inverness earlier this week for the practice session fighting to get on that team. That's going to be a heck of a week here in Toledo. Why should Toledo fans come out and support?

MEGAN KHANG: I mean, is there any other reason other than it's Solheim Cup and we're Team USA and we're going to get that Cup back? I mean, so we need all the support we can get, and we really want to put on a show for you guys.

Hopefully everyone is able to come out and hopefully comes out, and we'll do our best to try and bring the Cup back.

Q. How was the day at Inverness and how do you think that course will set up for the competition?

MEGAN KHANG: Inverness is always such a great golf course. We had the pleasure of playing it last year for the Drive On, and I think with that event it was great for, I guess both sides of the teams to really see what we're going to be dealing with.

And I know we're maybe like a month, month and a half away from Solheim, but, I mean, being a month and a half out, the course is spectacular, and I just know when we do get there it's going to be even better than before.

So it's really no worries on a course point of view, but definitely exciting, and hopefully I will be there and hopefully I will see a bunch of you out there.

Q. Definitely be here this weekend up toward the top of the leaderboard with the second wave to go. What are your plans for the night and what are you hoping to get accomplished this weekend?

MEGAN KHANG: Definitely get some putting in to try to figure out the speed of the greens a little better than the past couple days, and just kind of rest up and not really try to overexert myself. We have two more days, and got to take it one shot at a time.
