THE MODERATOR: Lindy, looking like a top-5 finish for you, but overall just take me through what this last day was like.
LINDY DUNCAN: It's an awesome day, I hit a lot of fairways and greens and I hit a lot of close approaches. Had a lot of chances and my putter was helping me out a lot. So I just tried to keep the good momentum going.
THE MODERATOR: What was the mentality going into today? Obviously having to shoot low on a course like this, it's been done.
LINDY DUNCAN: Yeah, yesterday was such a long day. After the rain delay it rained pretty hard, when I came back out I was really struggling on the greens with speed. So nothing dropped for me on the back nine, even though I was still in it, hitting it well. So I was just hopeful that today I could see a couple putts go in. I worked on kind of a couple things in the warm-up and I felt pretty good. That really carried over for today. But I thought I was going to have a couple drop today because yesterday was a lot of lipouts.
THE MODERATOR: When did you finally kind of see the putts start dropping, feel that momentum kick up for you?
LINDY DUNCAN: I made a good birdie on the first hole. It was about 10 feet. It's always nice to start with a birdie and a good putt. I just kept trusting my reads. My speed was pretty spot on today. So put all that together and you're getting it close.
THE MODERATOR: Questions?
Q. Obviously this tour can be such a grind and an emotional roller coaster. What does this just mean for you? I imagine this has to be a life-changing, career-changing performance. What does this mean for you to do this?
LINDY DUNCAN: It's great. Especially to have a good final round. In the first round of this tournament I was struggling. I was 2-over through like 11 holes or something. I just kind of kept grinding. Saw a couple go in. So, yeah, you just got to keep persevering and just kind of wait for your chances. I think I did that pretty well.
Q. Have you ever thought about what's next and does this kind of make that perseverance worth it, weeks like this?
LINDY DUNCAN: Yeah, absolutely. I've had a lot of time to think, because I haven't been full status for a couple years. So I've been thinking about a lot of things. I just love the game, so I keep at it.
Q. You got a local high school caddie here this week. How did that come about, do you have a regular caddie and I guess take me through that process how you landed with Eddie?
LINDY DUNCAN: I don't have a regular caddie. I got matched with Eddie through the caddie master here this week. That's something I typically do. Luckily, our personalities really matched and he was just a lot of fun to be out there with. Any time I'm around kids these days they're always just so funny. They make me laugh. We did a lot of that.
Q. What was the conservation like? I know it was probably everything but golf.
LINDY DUNCAN: Yeah, we just talked a lot about random stuff. Mostly food. He went to Italy. Just kind of like some random stuff.
Q. Just a normal caddie, is he, can he expect the biggest tip of his life probably after this?
LINDY DUNCAN: Yes. (Laughing.)
