Q. Here with Hira after the final day of Ford Championship. Just talk about your week. You played some really great this week.
HIRA NAVEED: Yeah, it's been great. You know, the first couple days just got enough going to make the cut, and then it was kind of a little worrisome there after the second round, but glad to make it through.
You know, there is great golf out there, great players out there, so I was just trying to do my best and score as best as I can.
Q. And talk about that mindset shift from almost missing the cut to being near the top of the leaderboard right now.
HIRA NAVEED: I think it's just breathing a sigh of relief really, and just saying, all right, put your head down; there is scoring opportunities out there. Just go out there and try to do the best you can, commit to every shot, and try and hole some putts.
So happy to do that on the weekend.
Q. And headed into today's round what were some of your goals maybe for today and kind of thoughts?
HIRA NAVEED: Just enjoy it. It's an experience for me. It's only my second tournament of the year, so just try to enjoy it as best as I can. My caddie was trying to, you know, keep me calm all day, so, yeah, it's a great experience to compete against the best players in the world.
Q. Probably didn't end the way you were hoping it would, but to go head-to-head with Nelly Korda in your second start as a rookie, if you told yourself that at Q-Series would you have believed it?
HIRA NAVEED: No, absolutely not. Yeah, she's an amazing player. To share the stage with her is really an honor. Yeah, it was a great day.
Just fell short, but, again, it's an experience so we move on.
Q. I know obviously having played a lot on the Epson Tour how much did that prepare to you tackle a day like today where you have to chase and try to find something on the leaderboard?
HIRA NAVEED: Yeah, a lot. I put myself in some positions last year where I was in the final groups and it's great experience. The Epson Tour is full of so much talent, and they're just that one step away from the LPGA.
Yeah.
Q. And how do you ride this momentum looking ahead to the rest of the year and what you got on deck?
HIRA NAVEED: Yeah, again, it's just the beginning, so just started. Just put my head down and keep at it as best as I can and see what happens.
