Q. An up and down round but you finished with a birdie. It was good one, too. You brought in Carlos to get an extra read and a fist pump to close things out. When you see all the support, how meaningful is that to you?
GABY LOPEZ: It's the best. I'm looking forward for this week all year long. It's one of my favorite stops on tour. Seeing people out here and seeing so many young faces, just inspires me and kind of motivates me to get another fist pump.
Q. I know you spent some time with your Razorbacks last week; that was meaningful to them. Let's talk about this round. Plenty of highlights, including the par save at 3. How did that go down?
GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, honestly, the temperature just went up. I hit my 7-iron probably -- carried like 174. I never expected that to carry that far. So, yeah, I mean, I was just trying to get it close on my putt.
You know, when you least expect things to happen, they finally drop.
