Quick Quotes

Q. So really tough conditions out there. Can you summarize your round for today?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: Well, a little bit disappointed with myself that I didn't make birdies on those par-5s. So like, you know, especially with this condition, it's really windy today.

But other than that, I only had like really two long putts and a three putts on those two holes and then could not get up-and-down for one hole. So that's all three birdies that I made today with this kind of wind.

So it's not bad at all. I don't think my game is that off. Like I say, I need to be better at make birdies on a par-5.

Q. And you mentioned you had fun out there. Do you feel like it's a challenge, that you like the challenge of links golf?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: I mean, today it's different because it got so windy today, and most of the wind is kind of sideways. So it's not that easy to actually get the distance right, you know, good.

And also the green is firm. So it's kind of like you have to aim far enough. Like I aim it in the rough rough, and then hopefully it, you know, get it on the fairway. And then you also have to think like how far it's going to roll to the left or how far it's going to roll to the side.

So it's a lot of thought today. But it's very challenging that today my hybrid went 130 yards. So it's different.

Q. And you said there's a lot to think about. You mentioned that you didn't look at the scoreboard. Is there a reason for that? Do you feel it keeps your head more focused?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: Not really, I mean, I'm just like, well, good for you, I mean, with this condition, you hit it like under-par, I'm like, Wow. I saw a couple girls -- after I signed the scorecard, I saw a couple girls shot like 4-under, 3-under. I'm like, Awesome, they must like it.

Q. And what will you do to prepare to go into this weekend?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: Probably do the same thing. And like I said, I think my target probably get better at trying to make birdie at those par-5 and see how much chance I will have for making birdies.

Q. And lastly, you're among 11 Thai golfers in the field this week. Do you feel like the atmosphere is slightly different? Trust Golf is a Thai sponsor. How does that make you feel?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: Well, I think it's kind of special that we had a company from Thailand that actually believe in women's golf and they want to support us and have a lot of money to sponsoring one of the LPGA tournament, which is a good sign.

And then I think this year, for the past two or three years, like a lot of Thai golfers actually show themself that we are good enough to be out here, and then we've got a lot of Thai girls on the Tour.

And that's a good sign. I think it's a really good sign for Thai women's golf future.
