Q. Tough day, you really battled again, so you had one birdie on the front nine, very steady and obviously back nine started with a double, which you bounced back from. Can you talk about that?
KELSEY MacDONALD: Yeah, I made double on 10, after I doubled it yesterday, and bounced back on 11 and 12. Hit the green on 16. Just missed my middle-of-the-green eagle putt. So great to get that birdie back.
12, hit it close, holed the putt, so that was me back to where I started which was good momentum. I'm just obviously gutted with my finish. I would have taken level par kind of start of the day, but just when I give myself those opportunities, and to finish so poorly like that is disappointing.
But tomorrow is a good day and it will be good to go out a wee bit earlier and post a low number before everyone else.
Q. 17 and 18, can you touch on those?
KELSEY MacDONALD: We had been waiting all day and I had been wanting to hit driver on 17, and we had been waiting all day and decided to hit an iron. It's actually a really difficult shot from the left side downwind. Went long. Had a really awkward lie. So I just had to kind of nudge something out. I actually used my putter, didn't get it up-and-down from there. So that was a bogey. I wasn't too disappointed with that bogey.
But then on 18, a wedge in my hand, to come up short, putted and just, yeah, really gutted.
Q. So you hit a beautiful drive on 18?
KELSEY MacDONALD: Yeah, I did. But that's golf. If it was in the midst of the round I wouldn't back on it, but just because it was my final shot.
Q. You're well-placed on the leaderboard in your home Open after three rounds, so leaving aside the disappointment of the last few holes?
KELSEY MacDONALD: I'm absolutely delighted and it's good golf and I am excited for tomorrow. Just here representing; Dumbarnie Links have been good to me and letting me play. My sponsor is a member here, so I do feel part of like the family here, so that's always good to have that support.
Q. And tomorrow, you've got nothing to lose, yet you're very well placed and no one has really run away today.
KELSEY MacDONALD: Yeah, but it was tough out there. Just have to go through the same process and see how it fares.
Q. How was the wind?
KELSEY MacDONALD: It was gusty in places. Some holes you had more a downwind than a crosswind, so it was a slightly different direction of wind, which I think would watch players out. You kind of hang into the wind to then let it come across. So I think we definitely got caught out with some club selections there. But I think everyone would have today.
Q. Ahead of tomorrow, your game plan is just to attack it, feel confident?
KELSEY MacDONALD: Just go for it.
Q. Obviously you're well placed to win the Jock MacVicar Award.
KELSEY MacDONALD: Yeah, that would be amazing.
