Quick Quotes

Q. Jasmine, well-played today, seven birdies total. Can you talk about your round?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: Seven birdies, I make a small mistake here and there and a couple birdie on the front nine and back to even and then trying to find opportunity for myself as much as I can, and then I did total today with seven birdies.

But yeah, there's a couple holes today that was a little tricky and I missed the ball in a bad spot, so it's really hard to get up-and-down. Other than that, I'm pretty happy, a week before AIG which is a good warmup and good setup this week for sure, yeah, happy.

Q. So like you mentioned, AIG next week, how confident do you feel going into that week?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: Pretty good. My driver is pretty good. My irons could be better but not that off. My putting is pretty good with the speed this week. So yeah, I never play Carnoustie, so I heard a lot of people say that it's going to be tough next week. I heard people say that the fairway's going to be pretty small.

It's a good preparer for next week for sure but my game is going to be up there.

Q. Do you feel like there's a lot of pressure from doing so well last year, coming runner-up, do you feel like the pressure is on or do you think you're just going to take it day-by-day?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: No, I think you can look in the other side instead of thinking that, oh, you pressure yourself just because you finish second last year, you have to play good. I think you're looking the other way that you had a good memory here, you played well last year, and you know, think about the positive side of that and have fun with the golf course this year.

Last year and this year was a different course, different week. But you know, think of something positive about, oh, I finish second last year. So you know, I can be up there so just have fun.

Q. What's been your favourite thing about this week and what do you think you've learned?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: Well, to be honest I haven't really played in the windy golf course. We only play in Scotland for two weeks a year, so to be able to come back here and play really windy course and the links course, it's really fun for me.

So this week, I learned that my hybrid can go 130-yard shot, which is really rare for me. But yeah, we just have to adapt and get better, be better and learn from each shot.

Q. How has it been this week, like the atmosphere, the 11 Thai golfers and Trust Golf as a sponsor, how has that been?

JASMINE SUWANNAPURA: It's been great knowing Trust Golf becoming one of the main sponsor for LPGA tournament. I notice they had a lot of spot to qualify for AIG, and then Trust Golf also sponsoring some of the girls out here, and try to get a spot and hopefully get on tournament and play AIG for here, which is a really good thing that we've got someone to be able to do that for the Thai girls.
