Q. Another really great round, 5-under 67. Finished pretty strong. Walk me through the front nine?
MINJEE LEE: I mean, the conditions are pretty perfect. There's like kind of not a breath of wind. We didn't even get any rain. We're feeling just droplets now. It was really calm out there so I could be quite a aggressive on some of the shots, like I had a lot of pitching wedge to probably like 8-iron shots.
So yeah, I was able to hit them close, and then make birdies. So nice, solid round today.
Q. Putting-wise, obviously hitting it close helps but how far were some of those putts that you were making for birdie?
MINJEE LEE: The last one was like six feet. The hole before was about six feet, too. I think I holed like maybe a 10-footer and maybe 12-footer the back nine.
Q. Did something change from last week to this week?
MINJEE LEE: Probably just dropped more putts. Probably hit it a little closer, too. If I can hit it a little bit closer, then I'm going to give myself more opportunities for birdies. I think I did that really well today and hopefully I can carry it into tomorrow.
Q. What's the mindset heading into the next three days after such a mild day one?
MINJEE LEE: I think I can really just concentrate on what each day, on what type of weather comes. If tomorrow there's wind and rain, then that's what it is like for everybody. So I think links golf, that's what makes it so great, because you never know what the weather is going to be like.
Yeah, I'm glad I took advantage of such calm conditions today.
