Q. So two really good rounds right there in a row. What have you found here in Dundonald that's been working so well?
ALISON LEE: To be quite honest, coming over, playing in Scotland isn't always my favorite. Growing up in Southern California, links golf has just -- hasn't been for me.
But thankfully the last two days we had great weather, and it didn't really play like a typical links course the last couple days. And I feel like I'm playing really well. So I really took advantage of that Thursday and Friday.
Today, a little disappointing. Like I had nine birdies out there and only shot 4-under. So it's definitely -- I know that a low score is possible out there.
So hopefully I can just eliminate a few more mistakes and just keep making a few more birdies going into the weekend.
Q. Walk me through. Birdied half your holes. Walk me through some of those birdies.
ALISON LEE: Honestly, it just felt super easy. I made basically every solid birdie opportunity I had today. I felt like my putting was really well. I had quite a few -- I had probably four or five approach shots that landed within three feet within the cup.
So I don't know, I just -- numbers were good, I was hitting it good, hitting it on target, and I was literally making every putt.
Q. How do you stay -- when those mistakes happen, they're bound to happen out here. How do you stay patient and really know, okay, I've made this many birdies up to this point, I'll make more, it's fine?
ALISON LEE: It was definitely frustrating. I mean, to be honest, I started off the round 3-under, and then I finished the front nine even.
So I don't know, it definitely was frustrating. But I just tried really hard to stay in it. And like I said, I know I'm hitting it really well. And the couple of mistakes I made, it's just unfortunate. So just trying to remember the good shots and forget the bad.
Q. Have a lot of golf left to play here still, but you're probably going to be in the mix heading into the weekend. You're playing some good golf this season. How much of a relief is that for you just to kind of finally be back where you feel like you belong?
ALISON LEE: Yeah, it feels good. It feels nice to be in contention. Playing in the afternoon on the weekends, too, especially this week, too, I mean, like I said, I never play well over here. So to have a couple good rounds definitely builds a lot of confidence.
But, yeah, like I said, this course, I made nine birdies today, so that just shows I feel like no matter how well I played, it's definitely -- you have to play aggressively this week.
So, yeah, you need to just go for it, go for every pin and play with no fear. And I feel like with how I've been playing, I feel like I'm able to do that.
