Q. Playing really well out here in Scotland. What's helped you adjust to links golf so well?
MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: I've always loved it out here. I don't know what it is. It's such a different -- I mean, obviously different golf courses, different way to play the course. We've had incredible weather too, so that's helped a lot. But, yeah, so far so good.
Q. I know it's not tree lined and mountainous like Canada is, but does the weather make you feel a little bit more comfortable?
MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: Yeah, absolutely. After last week in Evian, I mean, it was so hot, I was looking forward to coming here and cooling down a little bit. So, yeah, this feels really good.
Q. Just walk me through some of your birdies out there.
MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: Yeah, I feel like I gave myself a lot of chances today. And on the back, the putts started falling a little bit more, so I was able to take advantage of good iron shots.
Q. You seem to play well in these kind of conditions and these kind of green types, a little bit bumpier. You played well at JTBC Classic earlier this year. What is it that you like? Does it just kind of take the stress out and lower the expectations?
MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: I'm not sure what it is. I feel like I feel more comfortable with the speed. That has a lot to do with it. And I feel like I see the breaks better too. I don't know if it's the darker color of the green that makes me see a little better the lines. But, yeah, I just feel comfortable out here.
Q. You had your fellow countrywoman win a major championship last week. How cool was that just for you to watch your fellow Canadian pull that off?
MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: Yeah, that was really cool. I've known Brooke and Britt for a long time. So, yeah, it was cool to watch them the last few holes, she -- yeah, she played great on the back nine to make a good comeback. So I was really happy for her.
Q. Heading into the weekend, you're going to be right on the top of the leaderboard, in the mix. What's the mindset? There's some low numbers out here, but the weather is supposed to get a little bit worse.
MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: Is it? Like rain and wind?
Q. Rain, wind. More true Scottish weather, let's put it that way.
MAUDE-AIMEE LEBLANC: That's fine. I mean, I bought a rain jacket this week here. So I feel like I'm prepared for any kind of weather right now.
