Q. In contention again, what a surprise, what's the mindset heading into tomorrow? You didn't have your best golf today. What are you going to work on ahead of tomorrow?
LYDIA KO: I didn't have the greatest things, but my misses weren't as big as yesterday. I think sometimes I put it in spots where it was kind of like working, I had to work for it, and a couple careless mistakes where you think you come off with a pretty easy par, and three-putted a couple times.
Haven't three-putted in a while, and I hope that I saved it all up for today, and there were still a lot of good. I just don't think my irons were as sharp, so I didn't give myself as many birdie opportunities.
But at the same time it was a touch windier, so there's a few other perspectives and aspects you have to take into account.
It wasn't the best golf but Ia managed my way around and I still feel like there were a lot of positives and hopefully I'm going to keep doing that better and hole a few more birdies.
Q. How did you stay patient out there when you said you couldn't see the hole and you couldn't hit your irons very well?
LYDIA KO: I was putting for birdie quite a few times, and for the most part, my putting speed control was good but a couple times, I think when you really want it, like I would just like ram it. That's obviously -- you don't want to be making careless mistakes and I feel like I made a couple out there, and I guess when you look back on any day, you feel like, oh, I could have, I should have. So you could -- you could just keep going, like digging yourself down a hole and never be able to get out of it.
So yeah, I think I just tried to focus on my game and you know, I had a very easy group with Lilia and Eun-Hee, and I think that just made it like nice and comfortable. I just enjoyed it out there, and I think fingers and toes were crossed that the storm wasn't coming in.
We had a spot of rain but I think for what we presumed it was going to be like at this time yesterday, I think we got off pretty lucky.
