Q. Didn't keep the momentum going from yesterday?
GEMMA DRYBURGH: Rough start, you could say.
Q. Momentum slipped, and then you pulled it back. How was your day?
GEMMA DRYBURGH: I guess I was even after that first hole, so wasn't too bad. Yeah, just didn't quite feel the swing as well today. I was a bit nervous at the start I must admit but always want to do well, final day. But yes, I held it together so I was quite happy with that.
Q. Was it the drive at the first or the second shot?
GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, bad drive but I it you willy hit a good second shot but it just caught that bunker that's just short. So I couldn't really advance it very far from there. Just to the front of the green and quite a tough 2-putt from there. If it had just hit the bunker, probably would have rolled on to the green.
Overall a positive week I would say. Yesterday was a highlight for sure. Lowest I've done in the Scottish, I'm pretty sure. That was a good round and positive week. Not sure where I'll finish but yesterday was fun, so all positives.
Q. Big week coming up now?
GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, I guess next week is the main event, I guess. This week is a big event as well but The Open is the one that we all want to win as Brits. Yeah, it will be a special week playing Muirfield.
Q. Did you ever think that day would happen?
GEMMA DRYBURGH: No, I didn't think so. When I was growing up, it was mainly at Woburn most of the time. So it's great to see it go to these amazing courses, and for Muirfield to hold a women's event is a pretty big deal.
Q. How important is it to win the Jock MacVicar trophy in terms of the pride?
GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yes, I was pretty sure I was in the running for it. Yeah, special to be the top Scot and first time I've done that, so yeah, it's a special week.
Q. And Jock was quite a special man in all of your lives growing up because he would give you guys so much coverage.
GEMMA DRYBURGH: Yeah, he's part of the reason we've got such a big event now. Very much thanks to him as well. Yeah, special.
