Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Hinako Shibuno. Round of 66 today. A lot of birdies today. How do you feel you played today? Did you play well?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: My shots was very decent and I didn't have any big mistakes.

Q. You played at this course two years ago. What do you like about this golf course? We hear that it's beautiful. A lot of people like this course. Why do people like this course?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: Yeah, I do like it.

Q. Why do you like it?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: It's more like Hokkaido, you know, in Japan. (Indiscernible.) Very beautiful.

Q. Very beautiful. You played with Brooke and Ayako today. Ayako's hole in one was fun. What was that group like? You're three very similar people it seems.

HINAKO SHIBUNO: It was my first time playing with Ayako. And it's been a long time since I played with Brooke. (plane interference)

Q. And there is also Ayaka playing well. How exciting is it to see three Japanese players toward the top of the leaderboard?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: It's more like Japanese course I think. It's more tight and you need more control of the shots.

Ayako and Ayaka are very -- shots are very controllable. That's why Japanese players are on the board.

Q. Does it maybe feel like Woburn where you won your Women's British? Does it maybe kind of feel like the course where you won the Women's British Open?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: Maybe a little bit.

Q. Woburn was the last time you won. How important, how special would it be to get your next LPGA win?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: I've never won the States. I was outside of the States when I won. If I win the States, I'm an LPGA player.

Q. Oh, so you got to get that win in the States, huh?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: Yes.

Q. Well, what will you do tonight to prepare for tomorrow, and what do you think it will take to get that win tomorrow?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: It's pretty hard. I'm going to eat Japanese food and, yeah, just rest.

Q. Have you found good Japanese food here, or are you making? Chef Mimi?

HINAKO SHIBUNO: Chef Mimi.
