Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Caroline after her first round of the perfection. Just talk about the love you felt out there today. Was there any fans that came out to support you?

CAROLINE INGLIS: Yeah, there is a lot of fans. I'm a member here so a lot of the members. I saw friends and family, my husband, my dog, just so many people, which is really fun to see.

Every time I would look over I was like oh, they're here, oh, they're here. It's really cool. It's always a fun event like I say. I think it's really fun to have like all those people cheering for you when you make birdies.

Q. Absolutely. Just talk about the golf, too; 4-under round to start the tournament.

CAROLINE INGLIS: Yeah.

Q. How pleased are you with the round today?

CAROLINE INGLIS: Yeah, I'm happy with it. I got off to a rough start, so to come being with five birdies after that was nice. Yeah, just one day, but just keep hitting fairways and greens and making the putts.

Yeah, the course is in really good shape so I feel like it'll be similar conditions throughout the whole week.

Q. What are your thoughts on the conditions this morning compared to maybe what they'll look like tomorrow for you?

CAROLINE INGLIS: Yeah, I know the greenskeeper, superintendent, Jim. I know he gets worried about poana, the greens dying when it's hot. I'm sure they'll put a lot of water on them, so I would anticipate them to be pretty soft the throughout the whole week just because the forecast is so hot.

Maybe the fairways will firm up a little bit. I would say the conditions are going to be pretty similar; maybe a little more wind in the afternoon. It's going to be really hot I know this afternoon and even tomorrow afternoon.

Not too different I don't think.

Q. What is your mindset then going into tomorrow based off where you're at and like what you'll be focusing on then?

CAROLINE INGLIS: Yeah, just same stuff. Same basics. You know, process, hitting shots at targets. Nothing changes.

Q. I've seen a lot of low numbers up on the leaderboard. Curious, what's the lowest you've ever shot out here?

CAROLINE INGLIS: Out here, I think 63 or 64. I'm not sure.

Q. I haven't gotten a chance to see some of the players out there. With the soft greens like that I just figured you've seen all the conditions probably.

CAROLINE INGLIS: Yeah it's very -- because I think the fairways are running out a little bit more than how I normally play it. Play it kind of short.

So there is so many birdie opportunities, which is always fun. If you make them.
