Q. All right, here with Emma Talley after her second round at the Portland Classic. Another bogey-free round. Just talk about how it's been the past two days.
EMMA TALLEY: Yeah, I'm playing good golf. It's been pretty easy, which has been great. I actually haven't hit my driver perfect this week, but I just seem to be putting really well. My irons are really good.
Just trying to take patient. I feel like my mind is in a really good place right now. That helps.
Q. Yeah, always does. Somebody I just talked to recently too about how beautiful it is here and how that's kind of distracting and making golf easier. Is that how you feel too maybe?
EMMA TALLEY: I don't know. Mine is a little different. I struggled so much last year and I kind of - I don't want to say gave up mentally - but kind of I hit rock bottom.
So the last two months I've just felt really strong about my game, and mentally I feel better than ever. There is a lot of golf left to be played this week, but I'm feeling really good about my game and excited to be where I am at.
Q. Anything you're focusing on for the next two days?
EMMA TALLEY: I think just being where my feet are and just keep plugging away. I'm playing really good golf. Like I said, I just feel so calm mentally, and I think at the end of the day like all the girls out here have the game to play well. It's usually between the ears.
So I feel really good about my game and I feel really at peace and I like this golf course, so I'm just excited.
Q. And you're a co-host of the Inside the LPGA Podcast. A little plug there. Just talk about what that's been like to be on this side of golf.
EMMA TALLEY: Yeah, you know, I had to play a couple Monday qualifiers at the beginning of the year, and I'll never forget watching Nelly win the first tournament of the year. She had a couple errant shots and played the next shot not how I would, and I thought, wow, that's pretty interesting.
And so it's just been from a media side I've done a few media gigs lately and it's been great to see like how the best players in the world are doing it. They make it look a lot easier than how I play golf. So, yeah, it's been very inspiring and I think all of us when we take a step back, the bigger picture of golf, we're just playing a game of chess really. So it's really fun.
