Q. I'm here with Andrea Lee, our clubhouse leader, third round leader heading into the final day of the Portland Classic. How does it feel to be in the lead again at the Portland Classic where you not so long ago had your first career victory?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I mean, it feels great. Obviously I love this golf course. I feel really comfortable out here. Had a really solid day. Just played really steady golf. Managed to get some putts to drop on the front nine.
I thought the pin locations on the back were a little trickier. Just tried to stay really patient. You know, finished the day pretty well.
Q. This course is such a birdiefest. How do you sort of stay patient when the birdies maybe aren't coming in the numbers they do the first couple days?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I just got to stick to my game plan, try to birdie the par-5s, and maybe some of the easier holes and hole locations.
You just got to stay really patient out there and know that putts are going to eventually fall my way even if they don't maybe the first few holes.
When I won a couple years ago I was 2-over through three holes and managed to get it back. You never know what can happen out here. Someone could go on a run or someone could get cold. It's just staying within yourself.
Q. Speaking of putts that dropped in and went your way, we were here when the big roar happened here on 9. Just take us through that putt. Did you think it was going go in?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, actually when I was first looking at it I kind of visualized it going in. I had a pretty good feeling about it when I was standing over the ball.
Hit a really good stroke and I thought it was going to stay maybe just short or break a little to the right, but ended up dropping on like the very last roll.
That was pretty cool. It was a pretty big roar, too, so that was fun.
Q. Obviously I know the Solheim Cup is on your mind. You're seventh in the standings. You have Stacy out here watching; you got to play your first two rounds with Captain Stacy Lewis. How much has that been motivating you this week?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, it's definitely one of my biggest goals. Coming into this year it was, especially after playing in Spain last year. I want to make every Solheim Cup team from now on.
Yeah, trying not to think about making the team. Just letting the golf take care of the results, and hopefully Stacy sees that I'm trying really hard to make the team again.
So, yeah, I'm just going to try and keep playing really steady golf and see what happens.
Q. Last question: What would a second victory here at the Portland Classic and in your career mean if you are to achieve that tomorrow?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, it would mean a lot. I love this golf course and I have so many great memories from winning last time. It would just mean a lot. I feel like the last couple years I've been pretty close. I've been in contention few times this year and haven't quite gotten it done.
I really want that second win, so hopefully the putts will go fall my tomorrow and we'll see what happens.
