Q. Hi, Marina, able to bounce back after the back-to-back bogeys there with a couple birdies on your back nine. Just take me through what day two was like for you.
MARINA ALEX: Yeah, I actually hit it okay. I just didn't make anything. I wouldn't necessarily say I putted bad, just like a ton of lip-outs.
Yeah, didn't really take advantage of I guess fresh greens this morning, which I guess was okay. Just a couple -- bad chip on one hole and maybe just misclubbed on 16, because I -- it was a tough two-putt.
Just had a difficult time kind of getting the pace right. You got to hit it hard, but then you hit some down slopes, so it's kind of like hard to judge exactly the pace of the greens in certain spots.
So definitely need to play a little better tomorrow. I think a good goal would be to just play clean. Maybe if I have no fives on card tomorrow that would be a good day.
Q. With the wind the way it is, a little bit of variable, how much does that play into some of the shots today?
MARINA ALEX: It was actually pretty nice until I would say the last couple holes. Looks like there maybe is weather coming through, so that's why the wind is picking up.
But overall, I mean, I feel like it played really scorable. Greens were much softer this morning than yesterday, so I had a lot of looks; just didn't make any.
Q. I know you said about your family coming out this weekend, but have you seen any familiar faces? I see your mom over there.
MARINA ALEX: My parents are here. My brother came, which is really cool, couple friends. I think I'll have some friends coming out tomorrow for Sunday's round, so it'll be fun.
Q. What's it like when you know you are feeling this comfortable out there, you've been having a swing of good play lately, to do that here in your ten-year anniversary as we talked about this week? Does that rejuvenate you?
MARINA ALEX: Yeah, a little bit. It's taken me a long time to feel comfortable playing this golf course. It's a tricky little course, so like you get a little off with your tee shots or second shots and you can find yourself in some really nasty places.
So I think just being comfortable allows me to hit better shots and not find myself in like weird positions is I would not even look for in a practice round.
But that comfort level is nice. It's the very familiar to have everyone here now, so I'm looking forward to tomorrow. See what kind of scores churn out this afternoon, but I feel like I'm hopefully not too far behind going too tomorrow.
Q. Meaghan Francella, we talked about her all week as well. She did really well yesterday. What was it like to see her kind of climb the leaderboard?
MARINA ALEX: Yeah, it's awesome. I'm really happy for her. She's been really working on her game and getting ready for these next few weeks of golf she's playing. I know she's playing KPMG and the Dow team event, so she's -- I mean, I've known Meaghan forever.
She's going to come out and take it super seriously, so she's putting in the work and wants to play well, and I'm really happy to see that that's paying off for her.
Just I feel like everything in her life has just kind of trending in a better direction.
