Q. You went onto the 18th hole, two strokes behind, knowing you had to eagle and you got so, so close. Were you looking at the leaderboard at that moment? Did you know you had to hole-out right there?
When I was about to hit my second shot, I knew she had already birdied so I knew there was a two-shot difference. I thought to myself I have to eagle no matter what and can’t hit my approach short no matter what. I really thought it was going in.
Q. Still played really well, got a runner-up finish. How happy are you with that result after this week?
I’m well adjusted to the time zone difference after coming from Korea. I have a good feel to my game with a good result this week. On to next week’s tournament and a major tournament after that.
Q. What was the yardage you had on that eagle chip on 18?
24 meters
Q. What club?
58
Q. You played here before a lot. What do you like most about this course that you think helped you this week?
I think I just hit it well – both shots and putts. I think compared to other tournaments, those shots went well, so heading to the next tournament with a good impression.
Q. With this second-place finish, does this make you feel like your game is trending in the right direction as we are heading toward some majors coming up?
Since the first round and until the end, I had good results. Of course, disappointing to not win, but hoping to continue this momentum to next week and then in the majors too.
Q. What are you going to work on in the next couple weeks?
I always think I need to play today better than I did yesterday. Same thing I want to play next week better than I did this week.
