Quick Quotes

Q. Here with a bogey-free 66 today to make a nice move up the leaderboard. How would you describe the round today?

JIN YOUNG KO: Well, yeah, I had great round, but I had great -- a lot of great shots, but I had I did a lot of miss putt.

But I had still bogey-free round so I'm happy, and I can't wait to play the weekend.

Q. You've had an incredible streak lately winning four times in the last seven starts. What's been the challenge of keeping your form and keeping that momentum going week after week?

JIN YOUNG KO: Yeah, well, I don't know, but I would say, yeah, I had great round last seven tournament and four times winning, and, yeah, I had to focus on this week until next week.

But I have -- I don't have energy, so on the course my body condition or like a lot of things going down. I need get some energy from maybe my caddie or my manager. Yeah, it's going to be fine. I have six round of the year so, yeah, I will keep it up.

Q. Hall of Fame: What does it mean to you and how aware are you of where you stand and how it works?

JIN YOUNG KO: Well, if I'm going to get in the Hall of Fame it's going to be really great honor. It's going to be like good honor to be there.

I will trying to hard to get in the Hall of Fame right now, and always we calculate after win how many points left. (Laughter.)

Right now, I have 15 points, so 12 points left. It's going to be tough, but I just play four years, so that means it's a big accomplishment and I think I can do that.

That is one of my motivation for my golf. Yeah, I want to really get in the Hall of Fame.

Q. When did it become a goal of yours?

JIN YOUNG KO: When I was starting play golf.

Q. Okay. Early.

JIN YOUNG KO: Yeah, was ten years old.

Q. Yeah. And then Richard Lee, I saw a picture of you two on Instagram. You mentioned that he had been your coach of some form. What did he help you with?

JIN YOUNG KO: Well, he knows a lot of things on the course because he played a lot, many years in PGA Tour. So he knows how to hit like in bermuda or bent, a lot of grass he knows.

So he just letting -- let me know how to hit and then this is going to be like this and then how do you think -- we had a lot of conversations with it.

Even this week I call to Richard and the grass is like funny, so how can I hit on the range, even on the course? And he said a lot of things, like he has a lot of good information.

So, yeah, it was help me a lot on the course, and, yeah. He's great player and coach.

Q. Was that a Brooker connection?

JIN YOUNG KO: Yes.

Q. And does he live in Dallas, too?

JIN YOUNG KO: No, he's living in Phoenix, in Arizona.
