Quick Quotes

Q. So what was today like? From a competitor's standpoint you probably knew what you had to do and looked at some numbers last night, crunched some maybe before your tee shot, first tee shot this morning.

ANNIE PARK: Yeah.

Q. What was today like?

ANNIE PARK: Well, I had a great day except for my last two holes. Missed about maybe one or two birdies out there. Overall I hit it really well today. Made some better putts than the last two days.

So overall it was just a better day. Just had two bad holes and that was just golf, good and bad.

Q. Was it different than a normal round?

ANNIE PARK: Yeah, I mean...

Q. Maybe more than the normal nerves?

ANNIE PARK: I think this week was just stressful.

Q. Yeah.

ANNIE PARK: Just knowing what I had to do. Like I took my two-month break knowing I was going to be in this position, so I don't regret my decision, but I'm not going to lie, it was stressful, so...

I've prepared myself for this and I knew that I was going to be in this position. Just prepare the best and hope for the best.

Q. Was it Q-Schoolesque, the feeling of this week?

ANNIE PARK: Kind of not really. I just -- my goals out there were birdies, and I did those the first day and today as well.

So, I mean, yeah, I think there was a lot more pressure coming into the round, but I was happy with my round overall today.

Q. Did it show you what you're capable of in the future, especially when you don't take two months off?

ANNIE PARK: For sure. You know, I think I've been in this position before and I think it's the same thing. It's 18 holes, so nothing is different.

But, I mean, I think I've -- you know, through my experiences I've played Solheim, Symetra, like I think I'm prepared for that moment.

So I think just speaking through experience I knew I was going to be fine. Just had to focus on each shot out there.

Q. What does Annie Park do with an off-season? What does an off-season look like in your world?

ANNIE PARK: Yeah, so my goal is to play really well this week so my off-season starts sooner.

Q. I think it does.

ANNIE PARK: Which gives me like, what, four weeks?

Q. Uh-huh.

ANNIE PARK: So I already had a couple plans. I had to go to my friend's wedding and I told her, like, Dude, it depends on how I play this week. I may or may not be able to make it.

So hopefully I'm in a good position and able to make it to her wedding. Super excited about that. I have Colorado on the trip. So I just have a busy off-season. Go to California, Arizona to see my friends.

Q. Okay.

ANNIE PARK: Then my lease ends in January, so then as soon use I come back I'll start packing and start moving stuff.

Q. Where are you moving to?

ANNIE PARK: Oh, still in Dallas, but just to a different apartment.

Q. Okay. Nice.

ANNIE PARK: Yeah.

Q. And college friend's wedding?

ANNIE PARK: So she actually used to play golf junior days. We used to go to like Switzerland together, play for the U.S.

So she's one of my like good friends. But, yeah, so she is out in Vegas. I'm going to go see her. Just celebrate her wedding.

Q. Who is it?

ANNIE PARK: Jennifer Hahn.

Q. Oh, yeah. Vanderbilt?

ANNIE PARK: Yeah, she used play out on Symetra a little bit and then she played a little bit out here, too. I'm going to go to her wedding.

Q. Nice. You can go enjoy the wedding in peace.

ANNIE PARK: Am I like...

Q. You're 97 right now. I mean, unless they have some math tricks that I don't know about, but I think you're safe.

ANNIE PARK: All right. Well, thank you. Thanks.
