Quick Quotes

Q. Okay, here with Hannah Green after her final round at the Pelican Women's Championship. Wondering if you could just recap your week here at Pelican and how it feels to earn another top 10 finish this season.

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, actually I have no idea where I sit on the leaderboard and obviously there is still a lot of play left. Yeah, just super happy with the round, shooting 5-under on the back nine.

Had it going early and then made a couple mistakes kind of midway through the round, so, yeah, super pleased. Feel like I'm getting used to being back on bermuda and on grain, so I'm excited for next week.

Q. I was just going to ask my next question, which was how you were using this week to sort of get set up for next week, which is the big one.

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, I decided to not play Korea, so I wanted to play here, and like you said, have a little bit after warm up for CME. I've had some good results there so hoping I can build on that.

Obviously with the purse increase and how much money the winner can take it's an important event. Obviously I just want to finish with a high and possibly a win.

Looking forward to it. Hopefully we get all four rounds in. I haven't looked at a forecast, but I'm sure we will.

Q. What is one thing that you would say has just been working really well for you throughout this whole season that you hope will work next week?

HANNAH GREEN: I think the difference is with COVID, not being away for six months at a time. I think that's made a difference for this year, being able to go back whenever I like.

I did spend a couple months on the road, but then I came back for a month, so kind of have decided my schedule a little bit more. Next year will be a little bit different with some events moving and things like that, but I feel like, yeah, just staying in touch with my coaches back home, friends and family has been very important, and I hope to continue that for the rest of my career.

Q. Last question: What does it mean to you to be able to play for a $2 million winner's check, which is the biggest in LPGA history?

HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, it's amazing. I feel like we are definitely trending in the right direction with women's golf. And LPGA, we produce great product, so I feel like people want to invest in us and want to see us putting in the hard hours, actually earn a living.

It's great of CME to be able to do that and all of us are just really excited to get week started.
