Q. All right, I'm here with Lilia Vu after her second round at The ANNIKA. Walk us through your round today especially another solid round after yet.
LILIA VU: Yeah, I think I came in with no expectations. Just tried make as many birdies as I could. Seeing how the scores went yesterday I knew there were birdies out here. Today I just took advantage of them.
Q. Anything you noticed different about the course today compared to yesterday?
LILIA VU: I think it was a little tougher today for me. I think just the wind picked up at the end. Greens are rolling nice. They're a little faster. I think just in the morning they're just pure.
So definitely had to gauge my speed a little better starting off. But, yeah, course is looking good.
Q. Started off with three birdies in a row and then bogey; got another birdie in the first five holes. Walk me through that stretch out there.
LILIA VU: Yeah, I mean, the greens are kind of hard to hit, so once you hit them you want to be in a good position for birdie. Just might as well sink them, so try to make every putt.
Q. What is it about these green complexes? Obviously a lot of undulation, but how do you go about playing and plotting your way around?
LILIA VU: I think being concise with where you want to go, which side of the fairway you want to have that angle into the pin.
I know hole No. 2 is really difficult. I feel like I really have to focus on where I want to land the ball. You really only have about like six to seven yards around the hole to actually land it and stop it on these green, so I think just being really specific and just disciplined.
Q. I know we have 36 more holes here and CME next week. This has been such a great season for you. What would be the dream ending to this already amazing season?
LILIA VU: I think to win here. That's something I really want to do. This is my first time here. I really enjoy this course. I'm really liking it so far. I think it's difficult. It tests all aspects of the game. I think here would be great.
Q. What is it about difficult golf courses that just works for you?
LILIA VU: I think it just narrows it down for me just playing one shot at a time, not getting ahead of myself. Sometimes when I feel like every hole is a birdie hole I'll feel like, okay, well, thinking about the next hole, oh, the next hole is a birdie hole. Wait, you have to finish this hole first.
When it's difficult I'm like, okay, this is a difficult hole. Where do I want to drive it? Where do I want to leave myself? I think that just makes it easier for me.
Q. Last question: You've had a great year. If you had to name a favorite moment and memory from this year, what would it be?
LILIA VU: The last hole at the Open. I think that round was so fun. The crowds were great playing. With Charley was great. Then her sinking that long putt on 18 and then me somehow sinking that putt too was just crazy.
Felt like a movie.
