Q. Joined now by Gaby Lopez after there third round here at The ANNIKA. Take us through the round.
GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, solid the first couple holes. Very solid off the tee; my iron shots as well. Got a couple birdies in the front nine that got me some momentum coming into the back nine.
And, yeah, made a tremendous chip shot -- well, bunker shot on 13. Sadly I missed my driver in some like key holes that could have given me a little birdie chance. Yeah, overall very happy. Just been very consistent.
Q. Brings me to my next point. This is our third time chatting with you this week. What's been the key to some of that consistency to keep you towards the top?
GABY LOPEZ: Yeah, I guess just keeping the same routine and process. You know, just really -- my caddie knows when I'm getting ahead or when I'm nervous or when I am just not comfortable, so he knows what to say, so I think that has been important.
Q. Only two bogeys through your three rounds. Where have you been taking advantage of on this course to keep you out of those situations and keep you ahead?
GABY LOPEZ: I guess just giving myself good chances playing with space. You know, since college, Shauna, head coach, she just tell me, hey, where is the space? Where is the space? I still do that. Yeah, happy with that.
Q. We are seeing a ton of low scores today. Why do you think that is? Conditions a little bit better? People figuring out the course?
GABY LOPEZ: I think no wind, so that for sure kind of makes it a little bit easier. The greens are a little receptive, so that also makes people getting just after the pin. Yeah, they put the tee up on par-5, I think it was 15.
So, yeah, I think just the par-5s are really good option for birdie. I think just when people are just hitting darts it just gets really low.
Q. What's going to be the mindset heading into tomorrow?
GABY LOPEZ: Knowing that the greens are receptive, just going after the pin as much as I can when I have the perfect number or the right strategy.
When it's not a go-to pin, I just hit my number and try to make birdie with my putter. If not, move on to the next.
