Q. All right, joined now by Charley Hull after her final round here at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. T2 finish. Just take us through the week.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, feel like I played pretty solid. Today I didn't feel like I had the luck kind of going my way. On the front nine I felt like my adrenaline was quite high and I just flew the green on the -- I think it was the sixth hole.
Then the seventh hole, again, just rocketed that shot. Steady on the back nine, but on 17 I hit it in the -- I was in the middle of the fairway in a drainage ditch. Where I dropped it was a really horrible lie, way above my feet on a slope like that and it was quite scruffy around there and it just popped up high and came up short.
I just didn't feel like I had the luck going my way, say, but Nelly played great and it was a lot of fun out there.
Q. To win on the LET a couple weeks ago; Top 2 finish here. What do you feel is working well for you? Where is your game?
CHARLEY HULL: Feel good. Feel like I've been playing like this all year. I've won there before. Come second there before as well, so I'm looking forward to that week.
Q. Can you put in perspective how hard it is to win seven times in one season on this tour?
CHARLEY HULL: I think it is hard, but when she's got the confidence like that, I feel like it could be easy if that makes any sense.
She's doing really well.
Q. And then obviously finishing so late in the dark yesterday, wondering what your thoughts are on what can be done about pace of play?
CHARLEY HULL: It was crazy. I'm quite ruthless, but I said, listen, if you get three bad timings, every time it's a tee shot penalty, if you have three of them you lose your Tour card instantly. I'm sure that would hurry a lot of people up and they won't want to lose their Tour card.
That would kill the slow play, but they would never do that.
Q. How important of an issue is it out here?
CHARLEY HULL: It's ridiculous and I feel sorry for the fans how slow it is out there. We were out there for five hours and 40 minutes yesterday. We play in a Four-Ball at home on a hard golf course and we're round in three and a half, four hours. It is pretty crazy.
Q. Where is your confidence level going into CME next week, a place you won at before?
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, really confident, but I'm more excited to go home the week after. I just can't wait to go home back to my family and that. I get really bad homesick.
Yeah, I'm super excited.
Q. How many extra days on the holiday so far?
CHARLEY HULL: I think three extra days, so yeah, will be nice.
Q. Have you decided on a destination yesterday?
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, somewhere in Europe, so be really cute.
Q. When you have a front row seat to Nelly at the top of her game, five consecutive birdies, what goes through your mind at the time?
CHARLEY HULL: Oh, it's good. It's really fun. I kind of liked it when she made the birdies because it got really exciting.
Again, just felt like I gave it away on 17 a little bit when I made that bogey. Apart from that, golf is a funny game. You're not going to die if you don't win or hit a bad shot. No, I'm looking forward to next week.
