Q. Can you just describe what winning the Vare Trophy means to you? It's an incredible honor. Hall of Fame point with it. What does it mean to win this award?
AYAKA FURUE: It's a great honor to have this trophy obviously. It's very good season this year for me, especially like the average score will be under 70, like 60s. So it was really good for me.
Q. Were you aware heading into the final round where you stood for the award? It was very close.
AYAKA FURUE: I knew that I needed to finish at least 69, so I just didn't have like -- just concentrate on my play and keep going on the course.
Q. Were you very nervous coming down the stretch in those last couple holes knowing that you had to shoot a 69?
AYAKA FURUE: I had a bogey on, where was it, 15, but and then the next hole, that was kind of -- you know, I -- five feet, the par five, yeah, so it was kind of difficult to do the par putt, but I just managed it.
Yeah, just, yeah, I was thinking just concentrate, focus on my plan and just doing it.
