Q. Not a lot of golf in D.C. with the weather. How did you get your game in shape?
BRET BAIER: Yeah, I go down south here. I've got a place in Palm Beach: Over the holidays kind of really work it a little bit, play with my sons.
Yeah, I'm a 2 handicap but I'm a giving 2. I'm a walking wallet usually, and so about two holes ago my brain left me and I had some doubles there, and then I came back with a birdie, which helped a lot.
But I had a good a lot of fun today. Patty was so fun to watch. All of these LPGA players are just so smooth, their tempo so beautiful. I think it helped me today in how I played.
Q. Had you followed Patty prior to playing with her?
BRET BAIER: I had known -- I had watched her play from afar on TV, but never saw her up close and personal. She's a real pleasure to play with.
Q. Are you very competitive when you play at home?
BRET BAIER: Yeah, yeah, I'm trying to win. It's a $2 Nassau, but I'm trying to win.
Q. How many of these events do you play in?
BRET BAIER: Like three or four. I'm playing in Pebble, AT&T; played the Lake Tahoe Celebrity Classic out there, and usually one or two others.
But the job gets in the way. I've got to work today.
