Q. Great playing today. You're currently tied for the lead with Chad Pfeifer. Tell us about your round today.
DEREK LOWE: First of all, I want to thank everybody here at Lake Nona. This is one spectacular golf course.
It is a little bit maybe above our talent level, but shot 4-over on the front, double bogey 9, which was a little disappointing.
But was able to shoot par on the back nine. I was so lucky. I got to know Nelly Korda over the years. What a great pairing. I'm a die-hard Michigan Wolverine fan so we had Charles Woodson in our group. If we can have the same group for the next three days it would be awesome.
Q. I guess talk about that a little bit and watching Nelly play.
DEREK LOWE: Yeah, she is No. 1 in the world for a reason. It's just quality, the strike, the way she manages working her way around the course.
For me it's -- having to know her, it's a very comfortable pairing. She's easy to talk to. We both play extremely fast. So, yeah, very happy with the start, to be honest with you.
Q. You played a nice golf course last year. When you come over here, this place really get your attention?
DEREK LOWE: Every hole, yeah. I think that's the -- again, the beauty of this place. You can make a few birdies, yeah, but the rough is high, greens are fast.
It's just a championship golf course that a lot of us don't get to play on a regular basis. It's an honor to be out here.
Q. Once you turned, what got better in the final nine?
DEREK LOWE: Started hitting a few fairways. Rolled a few tee shots on the front. Went about 80 yards combined. That's never good.
No, just able to just kind of relax. I think we're ail nervous. I know I am when your round gets started, and as far as the rounds keeps going you're able to relax a little bit.
Q. Have you played much golf with Chad?
DEREK LOWE: I have, yeah.
Q. Amazing to watch what he does?
DEREK LOWE: Amazing. Just all the things that he's been through, the strength that he has is amazing. People don't understand what he has to do. He hits it just as far as all of us. Tremendous competitor, so it would be an honor again to play with him again at some point this weekend.
