Quick Quotes

Q. 4-under bogey-free 68 for Brooke Henderson today. You said you lost your Canadian roots, but doesn't seem like it. How did you play out there today?

BROOKE HENDERSON: It was a really fun day playing with Joe Carter and Jeremy. It was a lot of fun. It felt like an honor to be able to play with them, which is pretty cool.

To go out bogey-free today when the conditions were a lot tougher than the last two days, I think we just played smart lines and was able to get up and down when I needed to.

For the most part I feel like I gave myself a lot of birdie opportunities, which is what you're rally looking for on any day, so especially on moving day it was nice to see.

Would've liked to climb up a little bit more on the leaderboard. A little work to do tomorrow, but I'm excited for sure the opportunity.

Q. How different did this golf course play from the first two days, even in practice to today when it's wet, cold, chilly?

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, very cold, very windy and wet. I haven't played in the rain in a long time. In the off-season I choose not to play in the rain, so a little bit of an adjustment.

But overall I feel like Brit really helped me out on those holes and she did a great job. Caddies kind of like need eight hands at that point, and she did a great job.

Q. How many holes did you get the rain today?

BROOKE HENDERSON: I would say maybe around six holes. That's kind of a guess, but it was just enough. Then the rest of the day it was kind of you thought it could happen at any point.

Q. What is the sense of accomplishment on a tough day like this getting through bogey-free?

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, I'm excited. It's nice to have any blemishes on the card. Like I said, I gave myself a lot of birdie opportunities for the most part, which is exciting.

Going into tomorrow I'm excited to be close to the top of the leaderboard, and hopefully I can just make a lot of birdies and see what happens.

Q. Was there a highlight among the birdies?

BROOKE HENDERSON: I think the par-3, 13; that's a really tough hole. To get one there is a little bit of a bonus.

And then I was able to get one of the very next hole, too, so a little bit of momentum there, which was fun.

Q. When you go to the disco in Smith's Falls is it this loud?

BROOKE HENDERSON: (Laughter.) No.

Q. Did you hear the fans singing, Oh Canada on 14?

BROOKE HENDERSON: I did. It was awesome. I felt a little bad for Jeremy because they did it while he was putting.

It was really awesome. There is a lot of Canadian fans out here and a lot of fans just from America, too, cheering me on.

So it's been really cool, and hopefully I can give them lots to cheer about tomorrow.

Q. In terms of how you feel about your game plan, this is the first event of the season, which is obviously a very long season, but how do you feel about your plan and how you're executing on that plan through three rounds so far?

BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, I feel like it was a productive off-season and I'm excited to be back somewhat in contention. With a solid round tomorrow I can really make a charge, which is a great feeling.

I'm just really excited about the opportunity to be playing well on the weekend. First three days have gone really well, so hopefully I just make a lot of birdies tomorrow and make a lot of putts.
