Q. Tom, great round today. You had a birdie finish on the last hole. If you can start by describing that final hole.
TOM GLAVINE: Well, I was trying to finish on a good note. I kind of got sideways a little bit there on the last nine and was just trying to have some confidence and hit a couple good shots. Fortunately I did and was able to make a short little putt, so it was a good end to the round and a good day.
Q. Do you know how long that putt was?
TOM GLAVINE: It was short. A little off the green with my second shot, so I putted it up there close to about three feet and made the birdie putt, so it was good.
Q. If you could just about the round as a whole and how you felt on the course.
TOM GLAVINE: It was good. Beautiful, quiet, no wind, and kind of felt like a normal Saturday morning round with my buddies. Then you make the turn, there's a few more people, the wind kicked in a little bit, so the back nine was not -- my front nine was not as good.
It was mostly putting. I had a bunch of putts that I thought were really good and I thought I made and just didn't go in. That starts happening a little bit, and I think for us amateurs, you start to push the envelope a little bit and you start to press a little bit and I think I got a little bit out of sync, but for day one, I'll take it.
Q. If you can talk about this tournament and the uniqueness of it and what makes it enjoyable playing with the LPGA players?
TOM GLAVINE: It's fun for us for two reasons. Number one, most of us here are retired athletes, so we don't have anything that kind of gets the blood going like we used to when we were playing, so it's nice to get out here and feel that and have that competition, so that part of it is fun.
Then when you're playing with the girls, you get the opportunity to watch how good they are and what they do. It's not like they're going out there and hitting the ball a million miles, but they hit the ball straight, they get up-and-down around the greens, they putt well. The scoring side of it I think for me, when I have an opportunity to play with the girls, I really try to watch and pay attention to and just notice how good they are because I think that's what separates them certainly from what we do because we hit fairways and greens, we can make pars, but start missing the greens, it gets a little bit tougher, but they're really good at getting up-and-down around the greens.
Q. Any thoughts going into tomorrow's round?
TOM GLAVINE: No, just try to keep it simple like I did today, just enjoy it. It's fun being out here. I think sometimes we tend to put a little bit too much pressure on ourselves and get away from just enjoying it and trying to relax. I thought I did a pretty good job today of doing that for the most part, so that's going to be my goal tomorrow is just show up and be relaxed and hit some golf shots.
