Quick Quotes

THE MODERATOR: Here with Charley Hull after her third round at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. Want to ask you what you think the best part of your game has been this whole week and whether that's surprised you coming off the off-season.

CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, like I feel, I wouldn't say rusty, I just feel there's something in my swing that's not quite there. As I said, I haven't seen my coach in three weeks. He's been away in Dubai and I was in Morocco.

So last week when I was at home I was just trying to juggle so many things along, and I've come out here, and I do feel good, and I feel confident. Now I know on these three weeks off what to work on for the rest of my season.

Q. With that being said, what are you looking to take into tomorrow to maybe really put some pressure on Brooke ahead of you?

CHARLEY HULL: Just knock it close and hole some putts for birdies. I've shot 3-under par each day, so hopefully go lower.

Q. Any highlights from your round today that stick out with you?

CHARLEY HULL: No, it was just a pretty solid day all around. Thought I had my putt on the last and on 17, but yeah, I was just pretty steady.

Q. Can you take us through some of those birdies maybe at the end of the front nine and --

CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, on 8 I hit it in pretty good with a wedge to about, I think I was like 12 feet, holed that. It was a good look putt left to right. Then 9, I hit a bad drive up the left and hit it about -- I think I had 55 yards to the pin, tricky little shot in and hit a good chip or pitch and holed like a 12-footer down the slope that was pretty fast.

Q. Do you play better when you play fast?

CHARLEY HULL: I prefer fast golf because I'll get bored if I play too slow. I get bored with everything in life very easily, so I do everything so fast.

When I was doing my driving lessons last week and then passed my test, my driving instructor is like, you need to slow down in everything you do. I said, I just work fast; I'm sorry about that. Not necessarily my speed but just looking and everything.

Q. What do you do whenever play gets a little slow out there and you have no control over --

CHARLEY HULL: I just think of random things. I'm in my head. I'm an overthinker, so I'll just be daydreaming about something completely opposite to golf or just doodle in my yardage book.

Q. What kind of doodles?

CHARLEY HULL: Just stars and crosses and X's and just scribbling and coloring in the green. People are probably thinking, she's really looking at that green, but I'm not, I'm just scribbling on it.

Q. With that being said, how much do you enjoy the environment of this tournament?

CHARLEY HULL: I really like it. I really, really enjoy it. I think it's fun. I wish we had more of this. I actually genuinely think it is really, really fun, especially for the first tournament of the season.

Q. What's been your favorite pairing so far? What celebs have stuck out with you that you've enjoyed?

CHARLEY HULL: I really enjoyed playing with Jeremy today, but I liked playing with Mardy Fish yesterday. He is a really, really good player, and I feel like if he had practiced more when he was younger, he would make it on the PGA TOUR. But honestly, I was so impressed by his game.
