Q. All right, very pleased to be joined by Linn Grant here after her second round at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. Just a stellar 5-under on the day. Take us through the round. What was the difference between today and yesterday?
LINN GRANT: Very solid today. I feel like yesterday I didn't have a tough time on the first nine but it's always kind of odd to come into the first tournament when you're not playing tournament golf for a while.
I found something on the back nine that I really liked and just tried to keep that with me today. I know I play my best golf when I keep it simple and not be too aggressive and let the putts do the job for me.
Q. You were telling Amy out there that you got a lot of new equipment in the bag. What were some of the changes you made and how are they help you to achieve some of these scores?
LINN GRANT: Well, I swapped my 3-wood and hybrids and, yeah, my putter. I've done a lot of changes with my putter this winter. Changed the model completely. Changed my stance, my grip. It's very different, so it feels very good for now. Feels very exciting to go up and putt.
I really enjoy that right now I really like focus on hitting good putts instead of trying to hole them, which is a nice, new feeling to have.
Q. Who do you work with for your putting?
LINN GRANT: Just my regular coach back home. I went and got a fitting back home in Sweden. That was really good. They did a really good job. Presented some really good facts that I enjoyed. It was an easy swap so to say, but it's been a big adjustment.
Q. What is you're looking for in a putter?
LINN GRANT: I wasn't really looking for anything. I just went there and I tried to be very open minded and just told them I want to know all the facts and then I can sort that out myself afterwards.
They presented a model to me that would suit my vision better if that makes sense, like aligning with lines and targets.
Based on all the data it just made so much sense to change.
Q. What's the putter model specifically?
LINN GRANT: Now I just have an Anser. PING Anser. Very simple. Yeah.
Q. And did you do any practicing here in the States before?
LINN GRANT: Yeah, I was a week in Phoenix and then I was here for a week last week prior.
So I got some holes in.
Q. Where did you play, Lake Nona?
LINN GRANT: Here, yeah.
Q. I'm curious about your thoughts about this particular tournament with celebrities. Are you enjoying meeting some the celebrities? What are your thoughts about the party on 18?
LINN GRANT: First off, I really enjoy the event. Like I said back there earlier, it takes some adjustment because mentally you want to play really well. It's a tournament week.
But then you also want to be able to chitchat with your fellow players and have a good time and make sure they're having a good time.
So after a while kind of got into it and just being more free and accepting that it doesn't feel like a regular tournament, which I really enjoy now. Obviously.
And the music, I don't mind it at all. I mean, as you may know, I play the Scandinavian Mixed at home and they always have a party hole. I always enjoy walking up to the green, especially if there is good music. It gets the crowd a little bit happier and gets it going.
Q. Good way to finish.
LINN GRANT: Thank you.
Q. Lunch will taste a lot better. Walk me through clubs and yardages on the last hole there.
LINN GRANT: What did we have? I hit a 4-hybrid into the green from like 220 yards; then I just had a 12-footer and it went in.
Q. Easy enough. Perfect.
LINN GRANT: Thanks.
Q. Did you warm up with Leona?
LINN GRANT: I was supposed to play with Leona but the day we were suppose the to play was like 35 degrees. Because she lives here, I totally understand she didn't want to play.
But I felt, what do you say, complied to play just because I was here to practice. So we were actually out playing those two days where it was like 35 degrees which was insane.
I tell you, we were pretty much alone on the course.
Q. Was your coach here, too?
LINN GRANT: Yeah, just the two of us was here.
Q. International Crown year. How excited are you to compete with all the great Swedes we have on Tour and eventually team up with them in Korea?
LINN GRANT: Very excited. It would be my first time playing the event, so that would be fun. Obviously really fun to play match play and also team play.
Yeah, will be exciting. Excited to be in Korea. Golf is so big there. I think it will be an experience for sure. Yeah, look forward to it. It will be fun.
