Q. We're joined by Nasa Hataoka after a bogey-free 5-under par 67 to start the 2022 Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio. How good did it feel to put a bogey-free round together?
NASA HATAOKA: I had a really good par save on the last hole, No. 9, so I think that will help me a lot for the rest of the three days.
So I'm really happy with the result today.
Q. Can you take us through No. 9, how it played out from tee to green?
NASA HATAOKA: So tee shot went to the fairway; second shot hit inside right bunker. It was about five feet and then had a pretty good putt.
Q. Nice. And then you obviously played last week in the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. How nice was it to get a little bit of a head start compared to most of the field here to get your season under way?
NASA HATAOKA: Yeah, so obviously I feel like that was an advantage for me. Didn't really play that well first week, but because I was able to play the first week I think I was able to play good today.
Q. And then this course, what makes this course unique and also what makes it challenging?
NASA HATAOKA: Especially the greens here, it's really tough to read, so something that I've been working on so happy with the result.
