Q. We are joined by Celine Boutier after a bogey-free 5-under par 67 in the second round of the 2022 Gainbridge LPGA. Celine, obviously a bogey-free effort is always a great day. What made it a great day for you to get to that bogey-free?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I think I played very well from tee to green. I feel like I didn't really miss that many greens, maybe like two, so that definitely helped.
And then I made some pretty decent putts as well on the front -- I mean, it was the back but it was my front. So I just feel like I played very steady and then gave myself a lot of chances.
Q. You had three birdies in a four-hole span on your front nine, which was the back nine, Nos. 15, 17, 18, and then added two more coming in at Nos. 2 and 8. Any birdies in particular stand out or any shots in particular stand out that helped jump start the day.
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I think I was playing very solid and then I missed four, five-footer on 12. Then I made a really long one on 15 which started to get me going.
I was able to hit it close on 17 and 18, which got me to 3-under for the front, and then I just tried to keep the pedal on and keep going.
I feel like the greens are pretty soft, so it can be pretty scorable out there.
Q. How long was the putt on 15?
CELINE BOUTIER: Honestly I think it was like 25 feet, something like that.
Q. Yeah. Pretty good distance.
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah.
Q. How did the conditions obviously differ from yesterday and I would imagine how did they kind of help get you ready for what's to come this weekend?
CELINE BOUTIER: A little bit cooler. Definitely more moisture in the air so the ball is not going as far, especially on the first few holes. I mean, I had to club up for the first five, six holes, and then wind started picking up a little bit at the end.
But I think it's expected to pick up more over the afternoon and tomorrow, so we'll see how this goes.
I think the tougher it is the better it is for me because I just have to be more focused and pay more attention.
Q. You finished with a Top 5 performance last week at Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, T4 at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club. How nice it was to get ahead start over a majority of the field here playing last week, and did you take away anything from any of the former athletes that you played with last week? Any words of advice or anything?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, it was definitely nice to start with Hilton Grand Vacations last week. I feel like it's one of my favorite tournaments just because you get to share it with people you don't normally meet or get to play with.
And I felt like it was a little bit nerve wracking because I didn't know what to expect. Beginning of the season you always get a bit worried and stuff like that, so it's nice to have a going to result last week and give me a little bit of confidence for this week.
