Q. Joined by Charley Hull after a final round 68, 4-under at the 2022 Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio. Charley, finished 11-under overall for the week, Top 5 finish. Just put it into perspective.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, played really well today. Started off pretty good and hit it close on the back nine on pretty much most holes. Just couldn't get the putts going in. I was putting good strokes, just misreading them a little bit.
It was quite hard because a lot of them were straight putts and I was putting along the spine of the green. So if I get a little bit too far right it'll go right, a little bit too far left it'll go left. Yeah, I had a good finish. Made a birdie at the last, so feels good.
Q. Yeah, looked like several of your putts were just like inches away.
CHARLEY HULL: I know, yeah.
Q. How frustrating is that, but at the same time, something you can build on?
CHARLEY HULL: Frustrating, yeah. Days like that you just think you can't hole a putt. Be confident with yourself and think, No, I can hole it. I did it at the last. It was a bit of a break. I prefer putts with a lot of break on it, especially left-to-right are my favorite putts, and that's what that was, so I was confident with that.
Q. Obviously a long season, but how nice is it to get off on the right foot?
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah, really good. I put some real good work in this off-season. Probably the hardest I've ever worked, especially my coach Matt Belsham and my putting coach Nick Soto and done some real good work. Yeah, just been enjoying it.
Q. What kind of work did you put in?
CHARLEY HULL: Just played golf pretty much every day, played with my mates. Just working on my pitching, working on my swing. I drug my coach out in the rain one day and he fell over. He wasn't too happy.
No, just been enjoying it as well. Just having fun and not putting too much pressure on myself.
Q. What drove that kind of passion to keep playing over the off-season?
CHARLEY HULL: I feel like I'm in a good headspace at the minute. I thought I'm not getting any younger, even though I'm only 25. Still I just thought it's time now to just focus.
Q. What does your schedule look like for next week and then the next month and a half?
CHARLEY HULL: Play next week. I'm playing everything up to ANA -- sorry, the Chevron, yeah.
Q. Getting ready for a major.
CHARLEY HULL: Yeah.
