Q. Great round today. Can you talk through what went well and what felt good?
HANNAH GREEN: I didn't drive it great again but I felt like my miss hits were in better positions but was till a little bit tricky picking whether it would be a flyer or not out of the rough. I holed some really nice putts.
I think I holed like the longest putt I ever hold before on the ninth green. That was really fun. Just really good feeling out there. It's nice having a lot of people supporting me. I felt like a lot of people were cheering me on.
Q. You've been a defending champion before. What's it been like this week in particular?
HANNAH GREEN: I think this is the one that's been most in my face. JME was great last year, but because I did have two wins in 2019, backing it up in COVID, obviously no spectators, kind of made it a different atmosphere.
I've been trying to enjoy it as much as possible and obviously used that to my benefit. On the first day, I was probably a little bit tough on myself. I didn't play great. Nothing really stood out that was great but nothing was awfully bad. Just the score didn't reflect how I played.
I think it's kind of nice how to be trying to jump up the leaderboard instead of staying at the top. I put myself in good position for tomorrow.
Q. The scores are not obviously very low this week in general. How would you compare the condition to last year?
HANNAH GREEN: I think the greens have been a bit firmer. I don't know whether -- I think maybe they are also a little bit quicker than usual. Some of the holes, you kind of have to be not as aggressive as perhaps you could be in the past.
For instance, 17 today, tucked all the way on the left and I feel like if you hit a close shot there, it's not where you wanted to hit it. You have to hit it to 25, 30 feet and hope you hole a long putt. A little bit different in that sense. The par 5s you really have to capitalise on like usual but definitely not as many birdie opportunities, and I think, yeah, that's what's reflected in the scores this week.
Q. I noticed David Buhai is on your bag. What's it been like to him these past couple of events on your bag?
HANNAH GREEN: He's been great. He makes me laugh when I need to. He's great. He's always switched on watching where I am and what I need, and yeah, it's just nice having someone to talk to out here, especially when the days can feel quite like. I've been fortunate. I've had some early times the last two days and have not had to worry about delays, and it's nice to have someone inside the ropes to talk to.
Q. You and Gaby both played well in your group today. Were bouncing off each other out there?
HANNAH GREEN: Yeah, a little bit. Unfortunately Angel had to withdraw. She was not feeling good at all. Once she left, we were going birdie -- back-and-forth with birdies. It's always great to play with Gaby. She's really lovely to play with. It looks like we could be possibly paired together tomorrow. Depends on how obviously the leaders finish. It was a fun day today.
