Quick Quotes

Q. Here now with Andrea Lee after her tournament is concluded here at Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship. Talk about your week and some of the highs out from.

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I'm really proud of the way I played this week. It was tough conditions out there, especially during the weekend. It was super windy. I knew the scores weren't going to be too low and just had to stay really patient.

Had a pretty good weekend. A little disappointed how I started the week. I guess first couple rounds had quite a few bogeys out there that I wish I could take back.

You know, overall really satisfied with the way I played and just stayed really patient.

Q. Top 5 finish in '22; looking like Top 5 finish right now. Most likely going to be a top 10 finish. Just what is it about PVGC that brings out some of your best game?

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I love Palos Verdes. I practically grew up here and start practicing here when I was in high school. Know Jim Gormley very well. He's helped me with my game as well.

Yeah, just I love the golf course. I've grown up on poana greens and played on hilly conditions. The wind doesn't bother me that much either so I feel like that plays to my strength a little bit.

Just took advantage of that a little bit and just glad I had a solid week out there.

Q. How nice is it throughout the busy tour season to have these stops back home and get that sense of familiarity and comfort Austin throughout the year?

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, it's really nice. I almost feel spoiled. I live 20 minute away from here so I got to sleep in my own bed this week and I feel like that really helped.

Ate my mom's cooking, too.

So, yeah, it's just awesome to come back to the South Bay and play out here on the LPGA. We've got another one coming up at Wilshire Country Club, and really excited and looking forward to that one as well.

Q. Can you just speak on what Seri's involvement here, what she has meant to you as a golfer and how great it is that we finally have a namesake of hers on the tour?

ANDREA LEE: Yeah, Seri is a legend. She is the pioneer for south Korean women's golf. I looked up to her also growing up, and it just means a lot that she's out here hosting under her name and at a place I call home as well, it's really cool to see what she's done for the game and continues to grow it.

It's been awesome to see. So we're glad that she's a host out here.

Q. And last one: Five events into the season so far; three top 10 finishes; assuming this one stays a top 10 finish. What's working for you right now and where do you feel your game is at its best right now?

ANDREA LEE: I think mentally I'm in a great space, too. I'm out there really having fun and just really enjoying playing golf and going through the process of hitting each shot, and just, yeah, I just feel like I'm having a blast out there.

I'm not trying to put too much pressure on myself and I feel like right now I'm just playing steady and just trying to hit fairways and greens and minimize as many bogeys as possible.

It's been working so far this year, so I'm just really content with the way I've been playing.
