Q. Let's talk about this front nine that you had today. You started off with a birdie and then on your third hole, five consecutive birdies. What was going so right?
AMY YANG: I mean, my putting was working so well, especially on the front nine. Just I know I said it, like keep it simple all week, but all I did was just read the line, pick a target, and put a good stroke and good speed in it. It just worked.
Q. Did you start counting how many birdies you were making in a row there?
AMY YANG: Not really. You know, always looking forward to the next hole because past is past, and really enjoyed the game today.
Q. Your front nine, I know it was a little bit slower on the back nine for you, but just overall what has the past four days meant to you in your title defense?
AMY YANG: Yeah, I mean, I had a great time. Even this was my fourth week in a row I had so much fun. So like grateful to have this tournament back, yeah.
Q. How satisfied are you in your play after a week like this?
AMY YANG: Like I gain a lot of confident from it and I'm taking a lot of positive stuff.
I'm going to take three weeks off from now and just going to recharge a little bit and get ready for U.S. Open and all summer season.
Q. So U.S. Open is going to be your next one?
AMY YANG: Yeah.
Q. What will you do in the time off? I know you said you want to relax a bit.
AMY YANG: Yeah.
Q. Will you put down clubs or will you continue practicing?
AMY YANG: I'll put down the clubs for few days then I'll get back to it. Just want to like work on same stuff, yeah.
Q. Mentally recharge?
AMY YANG: Mentally and also my short game and putting, make sure they're in good shape, ready for major.
Q. Are you excited for the Olympic Club?
AMY YANG: Oh, yeah, I am. I've never been there and I'm excited to see, yeah.
