Q. What would you say was the difference?
MINJEE LEE: I just think I hit it a little bit better, a little bit closer, gave myself a few more birdie putts today than yesterday.
So I think that was probably the biggest thing.
Q. And last week was just your first start of 2022. You came tied second; on the leaderboard now. How did you find such good form right out of the gates?
MINJEE LEE: I think just finishing well last week gave me a little bit of confidence coming into this week. You know, we can go pretty low around this golf course; it's pretty soft.
So I think a lot of birdie opportunities out there, so the scoring is going to be pretty low I think this week.
Q. Speaking of the soft conditions, do you find yourself playing more aggressive and going after more pins than you would have years past in this event?
MINJEE LEE: I think sort of being here a few times now I sort of figured out like what the contour of the greens are doing and things like that.
So I think I'm a little bit more aggressive on some of the pins that I can be on. And, yeah, I just think it's just playing a little softer so we can be much more aggressive than the other previous years.
Q. Six birdies and an eagle from Minjee. That's another really, really good round after a bunch of good rounds so far this year. How do you feel you played today?
MINJEE LEE: I think I gave myself a lot more opportunities for birdie than yesterday. I think I hit it much more solid, and I think I could capitalize a little bit more on the par-5s.
So I gave myself I think three eagle putts, so that was nice.
Q. Yeah. And then tell me about your eagle on No. 15 there. That's our Aon Risk Reward hole for the week.
MINJEE LEE: Yeah.
Q. What was your plan of attack there?
MINJEE LEE: You know, the tee was up yesterday and today so I hit driver. It went on the green, and I think I had like 15 feet for birdie, so -- no, for eagle -- so I drained the putt and I was walking off happy.
Q. That's always a good feeling.
MINJEE LEE: Yeah.
Q. So you are currently T5. We have got Hannah up there, Su is up there.
MINJEE LEE: Uh-huh.
Q. Good to see all the Aussie flags up there?
MINJEE LEE: Oh, yeah, for sure. I'm sure everybody has been training really, really hard, so, I mean, it's nice to get rewarded for how much work you put in.
So it is nice. Go, Aussie.
